A large rotating asteroid loomed in the forward view port as I guided my small spacecraft in a tight orbit around the prey, my vision momentarily blinded as another salvo of blaster fire made contact with his large and threatening looking hull. Large chunks of hot debris began to occupy the space between our vessels before a sudden bright flash lit up the black of space. My comms console began blinking a message.
"You're an idiot."
My pod sat amongst the wreckage of my destroyed Velator while the Iteron mark IV industrial ship continued to attack the asteroids with its deadly mining lasers. The local authorities I had discovered were prompt, efficient and had reduced my security status to -0.15.
As my pod jumped into warp and raced towards the nearest space station, I realised the most important thing I had learnt today. I really, really liked watching things explode.
